On the list
Wanted, not yet scheduled. Your feedback is what moves things out of this row, so tell us which ones matter to you.
-
Scheduled publishing, review dates and required reading
Not scheduledThree things we would like to add to documents and announcements, and none of them is scheduled yet.
Write something now and have it publish on a date you choose. Put a review or expiry date on a document, so a policy that has gone stale says so itself rather than quietly sitting there. And mark an item as required reading, so members acknowledge it and an admin can see at a glance who still has not.
-
Better bookings: clashes, approvals and who is in today
Not scheduledRooms, vehicles and equipment all run on one booking engine, and we would like to strengthen it in three ways.
Stop two people from holding the same thing at the same time. Add an optional approval step for resources that are not simply first come first served. And add a view of who is in today, which is the screen whoever is on reception would leave open all day.
-
Recurring events, a calendar feed and check in by QR
Not scheduledThree gaps in events we would like to close, though none is scheduled.
A weekly club night currently has to be created by hand every single week, so recurring series. A calendar subscription, so what is on appears in the calendar you already live in rather than one more app to check. And checking people in by scanning a code, which would finally give attendance reporting something real to report.
-
Report a fault by scanning the tag
Not scheduledIf you spot something broken, you should be able to point your camera at its tag and say so.
At the moment a fault can only be raised by an authorised person during a checkout or a return, so anyone else who notices has to find someone to tell. This would feed the same maintenance queue that already exists.
-
Servicing schedules and work orders for equipment
Not scheduledKnowing who has what is live.
Knowing when it was last serviced is not, and we would like to close that gap.
The idea is a service interval on each item, a work order raised automatically when something comes back damaged or missing, a view of everything overdue, and cost and damage history across an item's working life.
-
Send us an idea directly
Not scheduledSuggestions in the app reach your own organisation's admins and stop there, which is right for most things and wrong for "the app should do X".
We would like to add an opt in route that sends an idea to us as well, with your say so and without carrying any of your organisation's data along with it. It would land on the same board this page is published from.
-
Dark mode, and a proper accessibility pass
Not scheduledThe app has no dark mode at all today, which is unkind on a night shift or anywhere the lights are off.
We would like to add one and do a full accessibility review at the same time, because the two touch the same styling, and because your organisation's own brand colours are exactly what makes readable contrast hard to guarantee.
-
Signing in with your existing work account
Not scheduledToday members are added by importing a file or one at a time, which is fine for a club and tiring for anyone with a few hundred staff.
We would like to support signing in with a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account, and to add and remove members automatically as your own directory changes. Anything touching how people prove who they are needs a careful security design before a line of it gets built, so this is a design question first.
-
Courses and certificates that expire
Not scheduledWe would like one place to author a course, have members work through it, and produce a certificate at the end that carries an expiry date.
The expiry is the whole point. A certificate that quietly runs out is the difference between a library of training content and something you can actually show an auditor, and it is what makes the same feature work for trade qualifications, health and safety, and bringing new starters up to speed. Not scheduled yet.
-
Rotas, availability and clocking in
Not scheduledThis is a big piece of work, nothing has started on it, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
It is also the thing we get asked for most often.
The shape would be: members submit when they can work, an admin publishes a rota from that, and members clock in and out against it. Saying it is on the list is not the same as saying it is coming, and this one is far enough out that we would rather be honest about that.
-
Working with no signal
Not scheduledWe want the app to stay useful when there is no connection, which today it largely is not.
The thinking is to keep the last version of each screen you are entitled to and show it behind a clear notice that it may be out of date, then hold on to the things that matter most, form submissions and equipment check ins, and send them once you are back in range. Orbit gets used on boats, in warehouses, in plant rooms and in basements, so this matters more here than it might elsewhere.
-
A home for notifications you missed
Not scheduledWe would like every notification to have somewhere it still lives in the app, so one that was swiped away or never shown is not simply lost.
Today if you miss the banner, clear it, or turned notifications off when you installed the app, there is no way back to the message, and whoever sent it cannot tell that happened.

This page, and why it exists
Shipped 4 October 2026You are reading the same board we work from. When something moves, this moves with it, so you are not waiting on a release note to find out what happened to the thing you asked for.
Tell us what is missing and it can end up on here as the next thing we build.
-
Search across everything you can see
Shipped 9 September 2026The search box in the top bar now looks across announcements, company news, documents and the help centre at once, and admins see drafts in the results too.
Each result says which part of Orbit it came from, and opening one takes you straight there. It only ever searches the modules your organisation has switched on, and only the things you are allowed to see.
-
Competitions and challenges
Shipped 7 September 20262.0One place to run anything with a scoreboard: sporting events, charity fundraising, collection drives, workplace targets, wellbeing challenges and head to head leagues.
An administrator sets one up and scopes it to a group or to the whole organisation. Members join, log what they have done, and see where they stand. You can attach a photo as evidence, taken there and then or picked from your files.
Appearing on a leaderboard is opt in, separately for every competition. Money raised is recorded, never collected. If a competition counts steps or distance it can read them from a phone or watch, but only once your organisation has enabled that and you have agreed to it for that particular competition.
-
Capital letters no longer stop you signing in
Shipped 5 September 2026Usernames and email addresses are now matched without regard to upper or lower case, when you sign in, when you set your account up, and when you reset your password.
Phones that helpfully capitalise the first letter of whatever you type used to make a perfectly correct address fail, with nothing on screen explaining why. Admins can also send out a fresh account setup code from the console now, rather than the original expiring with no way to replace it.
-
Scan kit straight back in
Shipped 4 September 2026Returning equipment used to mean finding the right record first and then scanning into it, which is the wrong way round at a busy counter.
There is now a Check in view that opens on the camera. Scan the tag, see what came back and which checkout it closed, set the condition, say who handed it over, confirm.
If a tag does not match anything currently out, it is recorded as an off system arrival rather than refused. That is how kit which left before any of this existed gets booked back in.
-
Print your own asset labels
Shipped 3 September 2026Admins can generate QR labels from the console, one asset at a time or a sheet for a whole category, and print them onto ordinary label stock.
If your equipment already carries codes you own, keep using those. Printing labels here is a convenience, not a requirement.
-
Point your phone at a tag to find the asset
Shipped 3 September 2026The app can scan a QR code or barcode on a physical item and open that item's record, instead of hunting for it in a list. The camera is only ever used at the moment you tap to scan.
